QUICK RUNDOWN

The Carters Beach & Boat Fishing Competition has come a long way since its’ first Tournament 4 years ago. Despite the hideous weather forecast (& plenty of muddy feet to back it up) over 2000 senior & 120 junior anglers made the journey in 2009. They were all in on the great Beach & Boat secret – that it doesn’t matter what the weather or even if you catch a fish, a great time is guaranteed! Plenty of great fish were caught though, and the Beach & Boats’ heaviest snapper overall once again took out the Furuno Snapper World Cup.

And because we are always aiming to improve our organisation, we once again took a look at the location for our giant marquee. This pursuit of perfection paid dividends and we are thrilled to be now basing the event at the beautiful Marsden Cove Marina. The very awesome school shuttle service (we have had no D.I.C’s associated with the event), will make sure everyone gets to and from the venue safely. Marina berths are again available (be quick, they won’t last long) and the lovely folk at Ruakaka Motor Camp are offering special rates for contestants and their families – see “services” or “accommodation”. As usual we have top entertainment, games to test your skills, and a huge prize pool of top gear. Can’t forget the top guys at Stabi-Craft and Yamaha for another two prize boat packages!

Join the other entrants who travel from all over New Zealand and overseas for a weekend you’ll be marking on your calendar every year.
